Biography

Katherine was christened August of 1764, the daughter of Donald Watson and his wife Katherine Williamson.^[1] Katherine Watson had three children with John Ross and then died at the age of 29 in 1793. Her two daughters had predeceased her and they are all buried in East Church Cromarty graveyard.^[2]

Her parents' gravestone is also nearby and it mentions that her brother David Watson died April 1, 1793 at age 24, just 8 days before Katherine did.^[3]

John and Katherine's third child, a son David lived. He was very likely named after his young uncle David Watson, who, like his sister Katherine, had died at a tragically young age.
