Robert Watson FRSE is Notable.

Robert Boog Watson was born 26th September 1823, and christened on the 2nd November 1823 in Burntisland, Fife Scotland; his parents were Charles Watson and Isabella Boog. The family later moved to Edinburgh. [1] [2]

He married Janet Cowan on the 17 November 1857 in Edinburgh, Scotland. Together they had 7 children.

He was a Scottish malacologist and minister of the Free Church of Scotland best known as the author of the report on the Scaphopoda and Gastropoda collected during the H.M.S. Challenger expedition to survey the world's oceans from 1873 to 1876.

He was a chaplain to the Forces in the Crimea and a chaplin to Forces during the Indian Mutiny. He was a noted Geologist.

He died in Edinburgh on 13 June 1910.
