Biography

Alexander Oswald Cowan was born 7th November 1858 and christened on the 19th December 1858; recorded in Bombay Presidency, India; his parents recorded as Robert Boog Watson and Janet Cowan. ^[1]

He died in 1929, and is buried in Grange Cemetery, Edinburgh, Scotland; his epitaph reads Alexander Oswald Cowan Watson, Royal Army Medical Corps, born at Bombay 1859, died at Edinburgh 1929 ^[2]
