John, son of Robert Watson & May Ann Ewen, was born on 23 August 1867 in Ellon, Aberdeen, Scotland.[1][2]
In the 1871 census John (age 3) was the son of Robt Watson at 11 Young St, Aberdeen St Nicholas, Aberdeenshire.[3]
In the 1881 census John (age 13), Scholar, was the son of Robert Watson at 71 West North Street, Aberdeen St Nicholas, Aberdeenshire.[4]
In the 1891 census John (age 23), Millworker (Cotton), was the head of household at 14 Frederick St, Aberdeen St Nicholas, Aberdeenshire.[5]
