Biography

William Henry Watson the only son of William Tait Waton and Mary Quaile, was born in August 1910, at or about Murwillumbah in New South Wales, Australia.

He married Minnie Mary Josephine Aboud in 1942 at or about Casino, New South Wales, Australia.

However apart from his marriage, 1942 would prove to be a less than pleasant year for William. The joy of his marriage would have been tainted with the death of his father and then later in the year being arrested for receiving stolen military petrol. He also attempted to enlist in the Australian Airforce but had been rejected, not a great year for my grandmother's little brother.

William and Mini Watson did however go on to have at least 8 and maybe even 9 children, so I hope he was a happy man.

William passed away in August 1986 and is buried at Casino Lawn Cemetery, Reynolds Street, Casino, New South Wales, Australia. Not far from where he was listed as living with his father at Reynolds Road Casino on both the 1936 & 1937 electoral roll.
