Biography

Birth

Helen J. Way was born in Vermont about 1866-1869. The document closest to her birth appears to be the 1870 census where she is said to be age 9/12, or 9 months old, giving her a birth date of about Nov. 1869. Later records give her an earlier birth, but those are at her marriages to significantly older men.

Marriage

First marriage at Morristown, VT:
Albert Fairbanks [sic: should be Burbank per daughter's marriage & widow's next marriage], res. Morristown, age 31, peddler, 1st marriage, b. NY to Lee Fairbanks & Emily Fairbanks;
to Hellen B. Way, res. Morristown, age 16, 1st marriage, b. Danville to Jacob Way & Diantha Way; married at Hyde Park 06 May 1884, by George S. Story, minister."^[1]

Albert Burbank was born about 1847 in Malone, Franklin County, NY, and died in Cabot, VT, on 20 Sep 1892 at age 45 of paralysis. He was a farmer.^[2][3] They had (at least) one child, Anna, born in Peacham, VT, about 1892.
