Biography
William Wayne was born on December 31, 1730 in Philadelphia, Province of Pennsylvania and baptized at Christ Church in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on Jan 2, 1731. His father was Jacob Wayne (~1704 - ~1736) and his wife Elizabeth ______. [1]
William Wayne was a distinguished member of the Pennsylvania Abolition Society, as well as a cabinet maker (joiner) from 1756 to about 1793. [1]
Marriage
William married Sarah Gillingham (4 Sept 1737-19 Sept 1772) at Christ Church 27 Feb 1754. She was the daughter of John and Ann Gillingham of Philadelphia. [1]
