Biography

Nancy was born about 1787. Her birthdate is confirmed by her grave marker that states she was 67 years old. She passed away in 1855. ^[1]

There has been a dispute as to whether her maiden name was Barton or Weaver. Nancy was buried in Yellow Creek Baptist Cemetery along with her sister Sarah Weaver Hinkle and brother Peter Weaver In the 1860 Hall county census her son James N Loden was residing in the same household as Sarah Weaver Hinkle, his aunt. That should prove that Nancy's maiden name was Weaver. Nancy Loden purchasing Lot #130 in 11th Dist., a tract being on Yellow Creek. Purchased 2 Sep 1834 ( Book E page 23 Hall Co.) Paid $300. to John Wigley both of Hall Co. Wit. David Smith, David Tallent J. P., who was one of the founders of Yellow Creek Church. Recorded 18 Feb 1837 Clerk: E. M. Johnson
