The alleged 3rd wife, Caroline Ritchie, was the mother of Nancy Knuckles, his alleged 1st wife. He married his mother-in-law as his 3rd wife. Personally I doubt it. Also Caroline’s husband and Nancy’s father, John Knuckles, was still living when his wife “remarried”.

So George Webb’s full name is George Washington Webb. This is the 1750s would Pennsylvania Quakers name their son after some nobody in the Virginia Militia?

George could not have been married to 3 women simultaneously. When he died 2 of the women were still alive.

His mother’s name is Mary Fleming not Ann Swayne. George is the father of 2 sons with the same name who were alive at the same time?

Clearly with the merging of profiles this profile got seriously messed up. That and/or he got mixed up with a different George Webb who lived in Virginia because the George Webb who was born in Pennsylvania went from Pennsylvania to Tennessee without stopping in Virginia and he only married Elizabeth Spurgeon and no one else.

The dates on the profile are for George Webb, son of George Webb and Mary Fleming, and husband to Elizabeth Spurgeon. It’s not for a George Webb of Virginia who’s mom is Ann Swayne who married one or both of the Virginia ladies.

The George Webb Jr who moved with his family from Pennsylvania to Tennessee did not join the militia until after they arrived in Tennessee (Western most North Carolina) so him being in the NC Militia is accurate.
