Biography

Edward was born in 1815. He passed away in 1852.

He married Caroline Amelia Owens on 21 December 1839 in Nauvoo, Hancock, Illinois, United States

He also married Jane Mathers on 29 January 1846 in Nauvoo, Hancock, Illinois, United States. This was a plural or polygamous marriage, as they were early pioneer and founding members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

On June 28, 1852, Edward and his family left Kanesville, Iowa as part of the Uriah Curtis Company wagon train migration of the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints to Utah. Members of the company arrived in the Salt Lake Valley between 29 September and 1 October 1852.

He died of cholera near the Platte River, failing to complete his journey to Utah.[1] His wife Caroline's obituary referenced his death and her subsequent struggle to settle in Utah, and was published in the Deseret News [2] on Sept 21, 1895, page 448.

Edward was born in 1815. He passed away in 1852.
