Roy Webb was born May 29th 1906 in Springfield Kentucky.[1][2] He was the son of George Webb and Mary Crane.[1][2] His obituary lists six brothers and seven sisters but it is believed he had several more that died as infants. On the 1910 and 1920 census, at the ages of three and thirteen, he is listed as living in Washington County Kentucky with his parents.[3][4]

He married Mildred Bottom August 17th 1929 in Jeffersonville Indiana at the age of 23.[5][6] They had a total of seven children, five boys and two girls.[7]

On the 1930 census, at the age of 22, he is listed as living in Boyle County Kentucky with his wife Mildred. He is a farmer. They moved to Indiana from Kentucky in 1931 or 1932. Imogene was born in Kentucky and the rest of their children were born in Indiana. On the 1940 census they are living in Clay Township, Decatur County Indiana. They are renting on a farm on George Cook Road. (I was not able to locate a George Cook Road today but there is a Cook Road in Decatur County) He is listed as a farm laborer with a 6th grade education. Roy and Mildred divorced sometime after 1940.[8]

In addition to farming he also worked many years with Martson Construction Co. of Cambridge City.[1][2]

Roy died on the 22nd of September 1990 at the age of 84 at Heritage House Convalescent Center in Connersville. He is buried in East Hill Cemetery in Rushville Indiana.[1][2][9]
