Biography

Birth

Thomas Webb was baptised at All Saints, Churchill, Oxfordshire on 26th March 1837.^[1] He was the son of David Webb and Jane Unknown. His father stated on the register that he was a baker.

Marriage

Thomas Webb and Mary Fawdry Hall were married after banns in Kingham, Oxfordshire on 24th October 1863^[2]. They were bachelor and spinster, both of full age and living in Kingham. Thomas was a labourer and the son of David Webb who was a bachelor (sic) (?). Mary was a servant and the daughter of James Hall who was a labourer. Mary signed her own name on the register (spelling her middle name as Fawdary whilst Thomas could only make his mark on the register with a cross. The witnesses to the marriage were William Hall and Hannah M Goodway^[3].

Death

Thomas died in Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire in 1919 at the age of 82.^[4] He was buried at St Andrew's, Kingham, Oxfordshire on 31st May 1919.^[5] On the register it shows that he was living in Chipping Norton at the time of his death. The cause of death recorded on the death certificate was "Senile Cardiac Failure".
