Joel Webb, former bank, civic leader, dies at age 75

JOEL A. H. WEBB, 75, of Colorado Springs died Tuesday in Colorado Springs. He was former chairman of the board of First National Bank.

Mr. Webb was born May 2, 1913, in Colorado Springs, to Gerald B. and Varina (Hayes) Webb. He was a lifetime resident of the community. Mr. Webb graduated from Brown University. He was a member of the board of directors at Goodwill Industries, Boys and Girls Club, El Pomar Foundation, Fountain Valley School, Cheyenne Mountain Country Club, Broadmoor golf Club, Junior Achievement, Junior Chamber of Commerce, Chamber of Commerce, the Webb-Waring Institute and the Cooking Club.

Mr. Webb is survived by his wife, Barbara (Palmer); a son, Joel Davis of Boulder; a daughter, Marka Webb Moser of Vail; two sisters, Marka Webb Stewart and Leila Webb Davidson, both of Colorado Springs; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
