Wilson Webb b. Sussex County Virginia; lived in Wilson County, Tennessee; m. Francis Ann Tarpley in Wilson County, Virginia, 1818, 10 miles from Lebanon; moved from Huntsville, Alabama, to Grenada, Mississippi, in 1836, then to Smithland, Texas, then to Liberty County, Texas; he died in Liberty County, Texas, 10-25-1842. Other info: Wilson County, Tennessee, Marriages--April 17, 1733-July 3, 1839:Frances Ann Tarpley married Wilson Webb 11-24-1816. Other slightly conflicting information indicates Wilson Webb married Francis Ann Tarpley in Wilson County, Virginia (possibly should be Tennessee) in 1818. An e-mail message from James M. (Jim) Tarpley says they married on 11-21-1816 in Wilson County, Tennessee, and that Francis Ann apparently died some time before 3-18-1842, because she was not mentioned in her father's will. The sale deed was witnessed by Thomas MELTON, Richard MELTON and James MELTON. I would like to know the connection of these MELTONS and their families. William married Martha G.
