Henry was born in March 1847 (if his Death Certificate is correct). His family left what is now Germany in 1854, sailing for New South Wales, with a stop in Victoria en route. By 1860 his family were living in Gunnedah, New South Wales. Whilst he married in Newcastle, he lived around Gunnedah till he was about 35. By 1883 Henry, Sarah & Reuben had moved to the Darling Downs - to Yuleba in Queensland. His daughter Edith was born there in 1886. The 1880s were hard financially & Henry often worked as a coach driver for Cobb & Co, moving his family further west till they were in Thargomindah, where he lived out his final years.
Henry Weber was born in Salzgitter, Niedersachsen, Germany in 1847.
23 Feb 1855 Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.[1]
30 Jan 1874 Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia.[2][3] Together, the couple had two children:
14 Feb 1912 Thargomindah, Queensland, Australia.[4][5]
Middle name: Some family members believe that Henry Weber had the middle name Andrew (Andreas in German), but I've never seen this on official records. Henry Weber[6]
Additional children: There were two Henry & Sarah Ann Weber families having children in NSW at that time:
As a result, researchers have occasionally and incorrectly assigned some or all of the HENRY-JOHNSTON children to Henry WEBER and Sarah Ann EDWARDS née WILLIS. As evidenced by Henry WEBER (EDWARDS)'s death certificate, he only had two children: Reuben & Edith.[8]
