Biography

Henry was born in 1752. [1] He was the son of Christian Weber and Magdalena Rutt.

Henry WEBER died in 1827. (Footnote #54 [2]) He was buried in Allegheny Mennonite Cemetery. Ordained as a deacon in Weaverland, but moved to Berks county and assisted in founding the Allegheny congregation as its first deacon. His son succeeded him as deacon. His name was also Henry. Parents: Christian WEBER and Magdalena RUTT.

14 FOURTH GENERATION 6 Henry Weber married Maria Huber, a daughter of Martin Huber, and Magdalena ; They lived in Weaverland, where he was ordained deacon of the Mennonite Church in 1780; in 1784: they moved to the vicinity of the present site of Alleghenyville in Berks County located a half mile north of the old Bauman's mill, and assisted in developing the Allegheny congregation, being one of the early members of the bench at that place; and the meeting-house was built on a part of his first acquired plantation in 1855. His first wife died in 1797 at the age of 39 years; after which he married Elizabeth Bauman, he had six children by his first wife and one son by his second, namely

Maria Huber the first wife of Henry Weber was the daughter of Martin and Magdalena Huber or Hoover, he died in 1785, his father was Jacob Huber who died in 1763, and he was the son of Hans Huber who came to America prior to 1717 and took up land in Earl Township, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, near New Holland, and died in 1750.
