Alvis-Webster Connections
Dr. Lindsey Britton has identified the parents of Elizabeth Webster, the wife of Zachariah Alvis. She was the granddaughter of Nathaniel Webster and the daughter of David Webster, who mentions both daughter Elizabeth Alvis and grandson Shadrack Alvis in his 1832 will. The date of Elizabeth?s birth and christening is in the Douglas Register.
Alvis researchers with Webster ancestry will be interested in what is known of Elizabeth?s family. (Note: The IGI alone is not a satisfactory source but may be searched for a documentary reference.)
