Biography

Myrtle J. Weeden was born on October 13, 1884, in Palisades, Bergen, New Jersey. She was the daughter of Samuel Seeley Weeden and Jennie O. Riker.

In 1900 and 1905, Myrtle was living with her parents (in 1905, mother) and siblings in Phillipsburg, Warren, New Jersey.[1][2]

At the age of about 23, Myrtle married Charles Philip Dietrich Jr. in 1908, when he was around 31. They had one son - Walter Ross.

In 1910 and 1920, Myrtle and Charles and their son lived in Easton, Northampton, Pennsylvania, where Charles worked as a typesetter and linotype operator for a newspaper.[3][4] In 1930, the family lived in Rahway, Union, New Jersey, and Charles was a printer for a newspaper, and in 1940, the couple lived in Jersey City, Hudson, New Jersey.[5][6]

Myrtle died from congestive heart failure in Western State Hospital in Staunton, Augusta, Virginia, on October 27, 1970, at the age of 86.[7][8]
