Elizabeth was born about 1796. ... She passed away before 1859. Other sources say 1899.

From "Jones County - Echoes of Our Past": "The only source for the name Elizabeth Welch as the wife of Asa Anderson is "Royal Ancestors of the Magna Carta Barons" by Carr P. Collins, pg. 294. He mentions Betsy Welsh, daughter of Bryant Welch, who marries Asa Anderson. Betsy would be the granddaughter of Richard Welsh, Revolutionary Soldier."

Although the Welch/Welsh name is frequently associated with this Elizabeth, some Anderson researchers are unsure that her maiden name was Welch. This may be confused with Elizabeth Welch b. 1807, the wife of Jonathan Ance Anderson. Primary sources are needed.
