According to the Bennett Family History compiled by H. H. Bennett, "Emaline Wells Bennett, my grandmother, was born at Brattleboro, Vermont, in 1777 and died at Farnham, Lower Canada, March 13th, 1813, of consumption." H.H. Bennett was a well-known pioneering photographer (1843-1908) residing in the Wisconsin Dells area. He compiled a family history around the turn of the century and some family members have a copy. This quote was selected from that history by my family's historian.
