Biography

Born on 22 JUN 1649[citation needed] Stratford, Connecticut, Colony to John Welles and Elizabeth Bourne. Robert married Mary Stoddard. Robert married Elizabeth Goodrich and had 6 children.

According to other sources, Robert Welles was born in 1651, twin to his brother, Thomas.[1][2] He was likely born in Stratford, Connecticut where his parents resided. According to another source, he and his siblings were all born in Stratford, Connecticut. Robert and Thomas were twins, born in 1651.[3]

Robert married first Elizabeth Goodrich June 9, 1675, in Wethersfield, Connecticut.[4].[5] After Elizabeth's death in 1698, he married second Mary Stoddard, October 13, 1698 in Boston, Massachusetts.[5]

Robert died June 22, 1714, at age 65, in Wethersfield, Connecticut.[4]
