Biography
Mary was born in 1927. She was the daughter of John Welsh and Theresa Haski. She passed away in 1985. She was very involved in her church and was a teacher’s aide school at St. Edward`s school. She started and built up the library at the elementary school and was in charge of all the parochial and government equipment there. She was also a substitute teacher and secretary. In addition, she was in charge of the appointment and date calender. A new school library was built at the school and was dedicated to Mary Louise 1986. She served the cub pack at St.Edward`s as a den mother for seven years, and finally the pack`s financial secretary for three years. Marylou was a former Cub Scout Den Mother and has received numerous cubbing and scouting awards, a special commendation from Bishop Malone and Danny Thomas for her civic work. She worked as a telephone operator and supervisor for twelve years, after graduating from Rayen High School and Youngstown College. While going to school at Youngstown College she worked for the Ohio Bell Telephone Company for 11 years. Youngstown College became Youngstown State University in 1955.
