Eugene Wentworth. Eugene Wentworth passed away on Saturday, Oct. 28, at the home of his son, McCully Wentworth, in Detroit, at the age of 87 years. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Paul J. Allured, at the Angus McPhail home on South Seegar St., Cass City, on Monday morning, Interment was made in Elkland cemetery. Eugene Wentworth was born on a farm near Utica on Dec. 25, 1845. In 1876, he was united in marriage with Miss Alice Seeley and shortly after they moved to Lapeer county. They came to Tuscola county in 1884. Mrs. Wentworth died in 1929. Mr. Wentworth is survived by two sons, Hugh Wentworth of Longview, Wash., and McCully Wentworth of Detroit, four grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Orpha Lenox of Rochester, Mich., and one brother, Julius Wentworth, of Novesta Corners.

Called By Death~ Eugene Wentworth, formerly a resident df this community, passed away at the home of his son, M. C. Wentworth, at Detroit. His body was brought on Saturday to the Angus McPhail home at Cuss City where the funeral services were held on Monday at 11 o'clock. Interment was made in Elkland cemetery.

Mrs. Eugene Wentworth. Mrs. Eugene Wentworth passed away Monday morning, August 5, at the home of her son, M. C. Wentworth, on Third street, after an illness of one week's duration. Although in fairly good health, she has been blind for 13 years. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday afternoon at two o'clock at the Wentworth residence by Rev. George Hill. Interment was made in Elkland cemetery. Alice M. Seeley was born July 19, 1844, in New York state and eame with her parents to Michigan in 1848 and settled in Lapeer county. In April, 1878, she was united in marriage with Eugene Wentworth and moved to Novesta soon after and has lived there and in Cass City since that time. The last fifteen years, Mr. and Mrs. Wentworth have made their home with their son, M. C. Mrs. Wentworth is the last of a family of eight children. Besides her husband, she leaves two sons, Hugh of Washington, and M. C. of Cass City. She is also survived by four grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
