Mrs. Sarah A. [Ann] Yeaton, widow of Charles W. [Wesley] Yeaton, passed away at her home, 82 Portland St, this city, Monday evening, [January 20, 1930] ages 87 years. She was born in Rochester, [Nov 5, 1842] the daughter of Stephen and Lucinda (Hayes) Wentworth. She received her education in public schools of Rochester and spent her entire life in this city. On April 29, 1867, she married Charles W. Yeaton. Six children blessed their home, five of whom are living. Her daughters, Effie L. [Louise] and Lulu G. [Grace]Yeaton of this city, most tenderly cared for her in her last years. She was an active and enthusiastic member of the Congregational Church. In her home she was ever a loving and thoughtful mother, worshipped by members of the family circle, and loved and respected by a host of friends. Besides the two above named daughters, she is survived by Arthur C. [Charles]of Auburn, Me., Mrs. Andrew F. [Clara May Yeaton] Armstrong , of Waterville, Me., and H. W. [Harold Wentworth] Yeaton of Saco, maine. The funeral was held from her late home on Portland Street Wednesday afternoon and was largely attended by relatives and friends. Rev. Donald Fraser, pastor of the Congregational church, officiated. The remains were placed in the Rochester receiving tomb. Hervey Edgerly had charge of the service.
