Died without issue.
His wife was Isabel Wentworth, his 3rd cousin, daughter of his namesake, Thomas Wentworth, of North Elmsall, esq.
Had some official job at the Palace. (Not Lord Chamberlain, that was another namesake, Thomas Lord Wentworth of Nettlestead)
Not to be confused with yet another namesake, Thomas Wentworth of Wentworth, esq, also said to have been at the Palace in the time of Henry VIII. Nor with that Thomas's son, Thomas Wentworth, bailiff of Scrooby.
And not to be confused with his namesake younger brother and heir Thomas Wentworth of Bretton, esq, who married Anne Dyneley and continued the Bretton line.
There were other namesakes, including his wife's brother and at least two nephews.
