Ginger, do you happen to speak any other languages? Would you check out our languages template and add it to your biography? For example you might add

{{ Languages | en | hu-2 }}

to the top of your biography if you speak English natively and intermediate Hungarian, or you could use de-4 to specify near-native German or ru-1 for basic Russian, and so forth up to ten languages.

It really helps to know who speaks all the different languages used on WikiTree! If you only speak English, you're very welcome to use this text to make that clear:

Now that you have had a little time to try WikiTree, there are a few more features you may find useful.

Ideas on what to include in a profile can be found in Styles and Standards, including some tips on writing biographies.

If you need to describe an event, an heirloom or a location relevant to your research, you may like to learn about Free Space Profiles.

Lastly, sometimes you'll run into unresponsive profile managers. We have a process for resolving those unfortunate situations.

P.S. I've found the best way to research my family in WikiTree is to post what I know and connect to existing profiles when I find them. That way, you can ask questions in G2G from the profile you're stuck on & folks will know what you have already. Cheers, Liz
