Samuell West, s. Thomas and Elizabeth, was born May 22, 1674, in Beverly, Essex, Massachusetts,. [1] and christened Dec 20, 1674, in Beverly[2]

Samuel West married Mary Norton, Jan 13, 1701/2 in Beverly, Essex, Massachusetts.[3] Mary West, wife of Samuel, died Apr. 28, 1762, a. 79 y. according to tombstone at the Ancient Beverly Cemetery on Abbott Strett. (G. R. I.)[3]

  4. Mishael West born in Beverly March 13, 1708/9[8] m Mary Wood on May 23, 1737 in Marblehead, Essex, Massachusetts, United States.[9] – (note his daughter Mary West who married mariner John Green is mentioned in Estate records with references to his sisters names see below)

Jan 1709 Capt Thomas West 1642 - 1723 deeds land to sons Thomas and Samuel and May 9 1711 to grandson Thomas and (xxx?).

1726 Samuel West estate account ret'd(returned) by Mary W.[West] administrator owed John Foster, John Holiman, Francis Gattiman, Jona & Matthew Cage, Samuel Pearce Jona & Matthew Cage/Cole/Coya(?) Timothy Clement. Change from (xxx…xxx)[2] In looking over the probate records there are many more debts than just these listed, but he seems to have had ample assets to cover the debts and still divide[12]

Of Samuel West’s children: Joseph, Samuel and Mary dec'd (deceased) without issue + Eliza Johnson petitions for division with Ruth West a(?) sister & Legal rep. wife Mishael W. and of John W.[2]

Ruth West was administrator for estate of her sister Elisabeth Johnson in 1771 in the same year in which she married Captain Jonathan Hart. [2]

Nov(?) 26 1739 Mary Martin of Manchester administrator on estate of her son John West late of Beverley and on 1762 on her sons Joseph and Samuel and July 7 1746 on her father Capt Thomas West. [2] The probate records say Nov 26, 1736.

May 5 1729 John Higginson of Salem deeds to minor? Mary West 12 acres woods in Beverly.[2]

Samuel West died Apr. 18, 1725, a. 51 y. according to his gravestone at Ancient Burying Ground on Abbott St. in Beverly (Mass. designation G. R. I.)[3]

West-7591 and West-5118 appear to represent the same person because: Because these two had the same death date, I looked at the records. May 1674 is the birth date, Dec 1674 is the christened date. The wife of -7591 has been given the wrong Last name at Birth, it should be Norton not Foxwell. These profiles are the same, Same death parents wife etc.
