He was born Bet. 1790-1800 in Gloucester Co., New Jersey.

Thomas West married Maria T. Eastlack on 25 Feb 1819^[1] at the Methodist Episcopal Church in Gloucester, New Jersey.^{[citation needed]}

He could well be the Thomas West enumerated in 1840 in Greenwich Township, Gloucester, New Jersey in Isaac Hinchman's allotment. His household contained
