Birth

Nicholas West was born about 1590 in Harworth, England, son of Thomas West (~1577 - ~1618) and Elizabeth (Sankey) West (~1568 - 1639).

Nicholas died about 1597 aged ~7.

Research Notes

The locations given on the profiles in this family group are self conflicting and mainly refer to places which do not actually exist. This family tree outline ^[1] gives alternate locations that may be germane. Thomas and Elizabeth's son Anthony is said to have been born in Edelsborough which is a village in Buckinghamshire and their other children are said to have been born in Harsworth (not Harworth which is 136 miles away). "Harsworth" does not exist, but "Marsworth" is a village 5 miles from Edelsborough.

There is a family of Sankey documented as living in Edelsborough in the early 1600s and a contemporary extended family of West living in Marsworth.

Pending further research into their origins, references to Harworth in Nottinhamshire have been removed as that appears to be a red herring.
