Biography

Elijah West was born on 30 July 1786 near Carlisle, Nicholas County, Kentucky, USA.[1]

He married Elizabeth Henderson probably about 1812 in Kentucky.[1]

They moved first to Marcoupin County, Illinois and then to Auburn Township, Sangamon County, Illinois in 1835.[1]

Elijah died on 8 Jan. 1840 in Sangamon County, Illinois.[1] He has a memorial at West Cemetery, Thayer, Sangamon County, Illinois with a photo of a modern stone and links to those of family members.[2]
