Baptism

Deerpark, Orange, New York[2]
Baptism was recorded at the Minisink Valley Reformed Church at Machackemeck (Deerpark), Orange, NY[6]. Witnesses were Nicael Westfael and Margriet de Duyser.
This baptism record for Maria was one of several records for baptisms conducted in the Minisink Valley by traveling Dominies that were never recorded at the Reformed Dutch Church of Kingston as was expected. These "lost" records were found sometime later among local meeting house records that were transferred to the Minisink Valley Reformed Church at Machackemeck (Deerpark), Orange, NY, when this Church assumed the central recording role in the late 1730s, early 1740s. Sometime in the early 1740's The Reformed Dutch Church at Kingston no longer recorded events occurring in the Minisink Valley. The "lost" records were never known to Rev. Hoes, when he translated the Kingston Reformed Church's Dutch records for his book.[7]

Death

Maria was dead before 8 April 1775, the date of her father's will.

I changed the county in her birthplace from Orange County to Ulster County. I think that New York treated the Minisink area as part of Ulster County until 1798 when it was added to Orange County. At https://www.mapofus.org/newyork/ compare the 1773-1797 maps with the 1798 map. (This assumes that the place was in New York at all, as the boundaries were in dispute.)
