Philip was born in 1784, the son of Philip and probably Anna Maria (Berger) Wetzel and lived in Middleburg at the time of his father's probate. [1]. He married Eva Yeager about 1810 and they had six children, Daniel, Sarah, John, Samuel, Levi, and Elizabeth [2] He died in 1855, probably in Snyder County (was Union County), Pennsylvania. His burial site has not been located although his wife is buried in the Old Hassingers Cemetery in Middleberg.
