Born 1735 in Chester County, Pennsylvania, the son of John Wharton and Mary Dobbins. Thomas was known as Thomas Wharton, Junr. to differentiate him from his cousin who was five years older. Thomas died either 22 or 23 of May 1778 at Lancaster, Pennsylvania[1].
