Biography

This profile is part of the Wheeler Name Study.

Samuel Wheeler was born on 23 January 1680/1 in Concord, Middlesex, Massachusetts Bay Colony, the son of Obadiah and Elizabeth (White) Wheeler. [1][2][3]

He married Joanna Walcott on 23 November 1704 in Concord,[4][5] the daughter of John and Joanna (Emerson) Walcott born in Newbury, Essex County, on 22 January 1686/7.[6]

The Wheelers removed to Brookfield in Worcester County apparently about 1710 between the births of their daughters Joanna and Elizabeth.[3] He was a yeoman.[7]

Joanna, "wife of Samuel," died in Brookfield on 04 July 1751.[8]

Samuel probably died in Brookfield after 17 October 1761 when he was to be provided for by his son-in-law Thomas Banister.[9]
