The Arc. of Md*, Vol. 60, page 404 shows that John Wheeler, Jr. witnessed a deed in Charles County in Oct,, 1671 when he was only 17 years of age. No record was found of service on a jury or in military service.
On 13 June, 1688 William Bateman and Christine, his wife, and John Gray signed as bondsmen for settlement of the estate of John Wheeler, Jr.
On June 15, 1688 an inventory of the estate of John Wheeler, Jr., was filed by Walter Phelps and James Gray for 46-08*00 iflnv. It Accts. 10, 87)
No children of John Wheeler, Jr, could be identified *and none were mentioned in the will of John Wheeler, Sr.[2]

Wheeler-9976 and Wheeler-1796 appear to represent the same person because: sources are on 9976, but they do not agree. These are the same person but need to be examined as to which information is correct and then merged.
Not sure this is the correct son of John Wheeler, Sr. In Walter V. Ball's book ("The Wheeler Family) on page 12 his dates are listed as 1654-1688. No wife or children are listed.
