Biography

Rebecca Wheeler was born at Concord, Massachusetts on June 30, 1760, daughter of David and Rebecca (Jones) Wheeler. ^[1]

She married first, at Concord, James Colburn on July 27, 1779. ^[1] He was born on October 21, 1757. ^[2]

Her father David Wheeler, wrote his will on Jul 23, 1803, naming his daughter Rebecca Colburn, wife of James. ^[3]

James died on October 21, 1803 at the age of 46. ^[1] He died intestate and on April 13, 1804, widow Rebecca Colburn, principally of Boston was granted administration, with her brothers Daniel and Jesse Wheeler, both of Concord, posting bond. ^[4]

She married second, Jonas Lee, as his fourth wife, intentions published on February 12, 1814. Jonas was born at Concord on October 16, 1745, son of Joseph and Lucy (Jones) Lee. ^[1]

Her mother Rebecca's noted in her will written on December 26, 1817, and submitted to the court on November 18, 1823, that her daughter Rebecca Lee, has already received her share. In the distribution of the estate in September, 1824, grandson James Colburn received a share.^[5]

Her husband Jonas died at Ashby, Massachusetts on April 2, 1819. ^{[6] [1]}

Jonas Lee of Ashby, wrote his will on May 1, 1818. ^[7]

Widow Rebecca died on October 17, 1821. ^[1]
