Obediah Wheeler was the son of Thomas & Joane Wheeler. He was bequeathed land in Stratford in his father's will and was one of the first inhabitants of Oronoke (part of the township of Stratford). In 1668, he was on a list of proprietors of Stratford, but there was a note on the list that he lived outside of the boundaries of Stratford. His exact death date is unknown, but estimated to be in 1668 at about 24 yrs. of age. He married Ruth (Rogers) Goodwin, widow of Thomas Goodwin. No known children were born to this union.
