Biography

  • Wife #1: Sarah Morehouse of Fairfield, CT, m. 20 Jun 1776 @ Boston, MA
  • Wife #2 Hannah Hawley, m. 26 Nov 1781. Two additional children (no dates):
    1. Hannah Wheeler (#5837) m. John Ford
    2. James Wheeler (#5838) m. Eunice Dickerman of New Haven, CT. Their children: Cordelia Wheeler, Sarah Ellen Wheeler, and Pamelia Wheeler

His inventory was recorded in Stratford in 1815.[1]

In 1816, his widow Hannah received her share of his estate.[2]

In 1819, his estate distribution was set out to Samuel Wheeler, John Wheeler, Sally, wife of Isaac Wilcoxson, David H. Wheeler, Eli Wheeler, Everett Wheeler, James Wheeler, Betsey Wheeler, Hannah Wheeler, and Nancy, widow of William Dougall, decd.[3]
