Biography
She was born about 1915 and her parents were Alphonsine (Lambert) and Robert Wheeler.
Leana or Lena Wheeler was first married in 1934 to Robert B. DeConic whom she divorced. He apparently died during World War 2.
Her second husband was Joseph Sam Comforte.
She died in Fitchburg, Worcester County, Massachusetts, USA. Lena died on 24 June 1949 and was buried in Saint Joseph Cemetery, Fitchburg, Worcester County, Massachusetts, United States.[1]

- Mrs. Joseph Comforte
- Mrs. Lena (Wheeler) Comforte, 33, wife of Joseph Comforte, 34 Falulah st., died this morning in Burbank hospital after a long illness. She was born in this city, the daughter of Robert and Alphonsine (Lambert) Wheeler.
- Besides her husband, she is survived by three daughters, Nancy R., Rose Marie, and Josephine M.; two sisters, Mrs Edward Boudreau of this city, and Mrs. John Kevill of Boston, and two brothers, Lee and Robert Wheeler of this city.
- The funeral will be from the Smith funeral home on Monday morning with a high mass of requiem at 8 o'clock at St. Anthony's church. Burial will be in St. Joseph's cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home will be Saturday and Sunday afternoons and evenings.
