Biography

Thomas was baptised on July 28, 1650 in Milford, Connecticut, the son of Thomas Wheeler and Joan Bryan Wheeler.[1] Thomas died in Milford between January 1, 1724/1725 (when he wrote his Will) and April 28, 1727 (when his will was proved).

Marriage

Thomas married Anna French on June 1, 1685.[2] Children:

Will

Will of Thomas Wheeler. In the Name of God Amen the Last Will and Testament of Thomas Wheeler of Milford in the County of New Haven in the Colony of Connecticut. I Thomas Wheeler aforesaid being of sound mind and memory and understanding yet being sensible of my mortality and not knowing how short my time may be in this world do hereby make this to be my Last Will and Testament in manner and form following — I give and Bequeath my soul into the hand of God (through Jesus Christ) who gave it me and my body to a decent buryall according to the Discretion of my Executors hereafter named

— Item: I Give unto my Grand Daughter Anna Mun all my Lott of Land and meadow Lying in a place called the East Neck being bounded with the highway west William Fowlers land Southerly Samuel Clarks land Northerly and Easterly to her and her heirs, and if she dyes without heirs then to go to the Rest of my Children and their heirs

—Item: I Give unto my Grand Daughter Mary Hine my house and home lot in Milford bounded with the street or highway west Capt: Treat Land the west South Thomas Welch North and East, and also one pair of calico curtains to her and her heirs, and If she dyes with out heirs then it shall be to the Rest of my children

— Item: I Give and Bequeath unto my Daughter Thankfull Ashborn all my Lott of Land in the point so called being bounded with a high way, Southerly and Westerly George Allyn Southerly and Smith Land and meadow Easterly and Northerly with Buckingham and Smith and also a parcell of meadow in Pruden point bounded with Pruden North and Southerly the River Easterly and Plat Northerly to her and her heirs forever.

Item: I Give to Daughter Joanna besides what I have already Given one shilling I do Give all my Right in the Common and un divided Land unto my two Daughters Thankfull and Joanna to be equally Divided between them I Give unto my Son-in-law Daniel Mun ten Shillings — I Give unto my Son in Law Stephen Hine Tenn Shillings — the Rest of my Estate I Do Give unto my Executors, and that my Executors shall receive and pay all my Just Debts and Lega cies Given in this my Last Will and I do nominate and make my son Obadiah Wheeler and Joanna Wheeler to be Executors of this my Will and Testament in Witness that this is my Last Will and Testament, I have hereunto set my hand and seal in Milford January 1st 1724/5
