Thomas was born circa 1536 at Wootton, Bedfordshire, England, the younger son of William Wheeler and Joan (--?--). His elder brother was John. He married Anne circa 1560.
As Stagsden parish records only start in 1602 a burial there in 1592 cannot be substantiated.
