Parney Wheelock was born January 20, 1808, the daughter of Abel Wheelock and Parney Parker of Canaan Mountain, Kings County, Nova Scotia[1][2]
On 31 March 1829, she married James Barteaux, the son of Charles Barteaux and Mary Robinson in Nictaux, Annapolis County, Nova Scotia; and they had children, including:
