Obadiah Wheelock was born in Mendon, Massachusetts, on 20 April 1762. He was the son of Samuel Wheelock and Hannah Amidon.
Obadiah served in the Revolutionary War in Colonel John Ashley's Regiment.
Some of his children are listed in "Wheelock Genealogy", by Carlyle Capron Wheelock and Winifred Gonseth, probably given to the authors from private family trees. Fanny has been added as she is shown as Samuel's sister in NY 1865 Census, and Obadiah has been added as a probably child because his age and residence in Oneida county, make it likely that he is Obadiah's child.
