A 1938 publication claims she died childless in 14 Dec 1648, but no record of this death has yet been found.[1] (Can you help us find it?)
She was not mentioned in her father's 1669 will, but Anthony Potter received a bequest from her father, who named him "my sometimes son-in-law" implying that he had been at some time son-in-law of John Whipple.[2]

William Richard Cutter, “New England Families, Genealogical and Memorial”, Lewis Historical Publishing Company, New York, 1915, Volume 1, page 209 says Elizabeth Whipple, the wife of Anthony Potter, was born 1629 and died in 1712. [Incorrect; Elizabeth Whipple Potter died shortly after they married; the Elizabeth Potter who died in 1712 was Anthony's second wife, Elizabeth Stone.]

Mitochondrial DNA test-takers in the direct maternal line:
It seems odd that John Whipple, and all of John Whipple's England-born children were born in Bocking, but Elizabeth Whipple is listed as being born only in England, with no town or county listed? I can't access England birth records, but I'm guessing such a record would confirm a birth in Bocking...
She is not mentioned as one of his daughters in John Whipple's 1669 will. But he does make a bequest to Anthony Potter his "sometimes" son-in-law, supporting the theory that she died earlier.
What is the source for the 1648 death? I find in the Ipswich VR, p 653 the death of Mrs. Elizabeth Potter on 10 Mar 1712, age 83, translating to a birth of 1629... very close to this one. UPDATE: Anthony Potter's second wife was also an Elizabeth, but born Stone.
