Biography
Anna Amelia Whisler was born on November 29, 1869 in Mount Morris, Ogle County, Illinois[1] She was the daughter of Victor Whisler and Catharine Roland.
She married Horatio Alfonso "H A" Hoover[2](1867-1943) on July 1, 1891 in Lanark, Carroll County, Illinois. They had 4 children.
Horaito and Anne lived in Ashley, Washington County, Illinois in 1910, where he was a commercial Salesman for a Lumber company, and Anne was taking care of the home and children, Paul-12, Harold-10, Helen-8 and Dorothy-6.[6] In 1930, He was still working as a Lumber Salesman with the children in the home, Dorothy-26, a School Teacher, Harold-30 unemployed at the time, and his wife Eleanore also a School Teacher for Public Schools.[7]
At age 72, they were living in Centralia, Marion County, Illinois where He was still working. Anna was taking care of the home and their daughter Dorothy was working as a Teacher.[8]
He died at the age of 75, on May 23, 1943, , in Centralia, Marion County, Illinois,[2] and was buried in the Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery .
She passed away on March 6, 1947, at the age of 77, in Joliet, Will County, Illinois, and was buried in the Hilllcrest Memoiral Park Cemetery in Centralia, marion county, Illinois.[1]
She is mentioned in “The Binkley Family w/ Bloyer, Cheeseman, Cromwell, Morgan, Rittenour, Roland, Shaffer, Whisler”. [9]
