Henry Whisman was born in Virginia.

Henry T. Whisman was born in February 1840 Smyth County, Virginia. He was the son of Abram Whisman and Catharine Shupe.[1]

Henry married Martha E. Edmonson on 3 February 1867 in Lee Co., Virginia[2]

In 1880 Martha and Henry are living in Lee County, Virginia with four children.[3] Between 1880 and 1895 Martha, Henry and the four children had relocated to Kansas.[4]

Henry Thomas Whisman passed away 12 November 1918 at the age of 78. He is buried in Atwood Fairview Cemetery, Atwood, Rawlins County, Kansas.[5]
