Ann was born in 1853 in Over Wrysedale, Lancs. She was the daughter of Robert Whitaker and Dorothy (Pye) Whitaker.
Ann Whitaker's birth was registered in the Apr-May-Jun quarter of 1853 in the Lancaster district.[1]
Ann died at the age of about 52 on 26 February 1905 in Westfield Hourse Farm, Goosnargh.

Sketch of Life of John Whitaker states: "Ann was mother's help, and she was a help whilst she was at home; she was a member of the Church Choir until her marriage. She married at 21 years of age, William Procter, of Kit Brow Farm, Ellel, the son of James and Agnes (Nee Huntington) Procter, of that farm...after a number of years he removed to Westfield House Farm, in Goosnargh, where Ann died in her sleep on February 26th, 1905, aged 51 years, and was interred in Goosnargh Churchyard...Ann was a good mother and friend, and a practical, typical farmer's wife." He also stated that Ann hadthe 11 children listed and two died in infancy.
