"I'm researching Andrew Ellis in Hinds Co. MS. He died abt 1863 and another researcher sent me a copy of his probate papers. Among his heirs was a daughter, Lucy C. Ellis. Her 2nd husband was Hugh L. White. They were both deceased and their son, William L. White was a minor without a guardian, living in Erath Co. TX at the time these probate papers were filed in 1875. William had an older half sister, Charlotte J. Campbell, who was married to Rufus C. Howie and they also were living in Erath Co. TX." from this Genform entry
