Notes

1. The mystery has been solved - Andrew White of Sudbury, MA and Nova Scotia was definitely not from the Mayflower White family.

The final piece of evidence is "French and Indian War Muster Rolls", Massachusetts Archive Collection, Vol. 98:93 (A Return of Men Enlisted For His Majesty's Service For the Reduction of Canada - 1760) in which it lists the following:

Andrew White, 13 December 1760, age 27, b. Ireland, of Sudbury

He also listed himself as Irish on the 1770 Nova Scotia census.

Thanks to William Warner for finding the final piece of the puzzle! Vickie Elam White http://archiver.rootsweb.ancestry.com/th/read/WHITE-DNA/2012-10/1349222491

2. The White ancestry of Andrew White is uncertain. Some sources claim that Andrew was the son of John and Joanna (Sprague) White of Marshfield, MA. If this couple are his parents Andrew is a Mayflower descendant. Your authors have found no evidence that links Andres to Marshfield, MA. Until some compelling evidence for the link to Marshfield can be found, we do not claim Mayflower descendance for Andrew. If Andrew White was born in Ireland in the 1730's, FamilySearch found 1 record in Ireland for a Andrew White. It listed him as being christened 11 May 1735 at Inch by Gorey , County Wexford, Ireland to Lawrence and Elizabeth White. Maybe that will lead someone in the right direction.
