Joseph White, Sr. served during the Revolutionary War as a Captain in Col. Asa Whitcomb's Regiment which was called out on the Lexington Alarm of 19 Apr 1775 for the State of Massachusetts.

Later he was a farmer and lived on the old homestead in Lancaster, Massachusetts. He was also Deacon of the first church in Lancaster from 9 Sep 1761 until his death.
Joseph White was born on November 1, 1719 in Lancaster, Worcester County, Massachusetts. His parents were Josiah White and Abigail Whitcomb.
